Why are notarization fees fixed, but other fees vary?
California regulates notary fees, so the cost per notarized signature is set by law. Travel, after-hours availability, and loan signing services are not regulated and are quoted separately based on time, location, and complexity. In short: the stamp is fixed — getting me to you isn’t.

Do you charge per signature or per appointment?
For standard notarizations, fees are charged per notarized signature as required by California law. For loan signings, pricing is per package, not per signature, since these appointments involve larger document sets and additional time.

Why are loan signing fees quoted as a range?
Loan packages can vary quite a bit. Page count, printing requirements, scanbacks, travel, parking, and appointment time all factor in. Once I have those details, I’ll confirm an exact price before your appointment. No guessing. No surprises.

What determines the final cost of a loan signing?
The final fee is based on:

Do you offer after-hours or Sunday appointments?
Yes, limited after-hours and Sunday appointments are available. A convenience fee applies for appointments outside standard business hours. Because sometimes paperwork refuses to wait until the next business day.

Is parking included in the travel fee?
The travel fee covers standard travel and parking time. If parking is unusually difficult or requires paid parking or valet-only access, that may be reflected in the quote — always discussed upfront.

Do you provide scanbacks or document sending services?
Yes. Scanbacks and document return services are available and are billed separately unless included in your quote in advance. Larger packages and time-sensitive returns may require additional time.

Can you give me an exact quote before booking?
Always. Once I know the document type, location, and timing, I’ll confirm the total cost before your appointment. Clear pricing is part of the service.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment options will be confirmed when your appointment is scheduled. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance.

I can guide you through the signing process and ensure everything is completed correctly, but I cannot provide legal advice or explain the legal meaning of documents. For that, I’ll pause the signing and help you contact the appropriate party.

What areas do you serve?
I primarily serve West Los Angeles, including Santa Monica, Venice, Brentwood, West LA, Culver City, Mar Vista, Playa Vista, and surrounding areas. Travel outside these areas may be available upon request.
